REVIEW
A Hush at Midnight by Marlene M. Bell is an intense read full of twists that definitely kept me turning those pages! I was sold by the synopsis, as it reminded me of the themed cozy mysteries I like. Typically I enjoy book/literature-related cozies, but food-themed ones are a close second. Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t know if A Hush at Midnight is considered a cozy, but with Laura, the main character, being a former chef accused of murder - well, that’s where my mind went to - could you blame me? Talk about a fun read!
And that’s exactly what I got! A Hush at Midnight had great plot development that kept me interested and it definitely has a unique set of characters, which is truly my favorite thing. I love to love characters. There were definitely layers to this group of and it enriched the story even more.
For fans of cozies, murder mysteries, and even thrillers - grab yourself a cup of tea [or coffee], sit in your comfiest chair, put those feet up, and dive deep into this story. I guarantee that you’re going to want to finish it in one go. Enjoy!
